The Rite of Spring
April 2014
[April 12th and 13th of this year were days displaying signs which affirmed the arrival of Spring. The mist, came immediately after sunrise but dissipated very quickly.]
[The evaporation continued over the river.]
[A gentle breeze creased the brook's murmuring water.]
[The red-bellied woodpecker arrived early for a solid snack.]
[A hungry coyote tried unsuccessfully to catch a wild turkey.]
[Black capped chickadee]
[Woodpecker]
[The road to the swamp area.]
[Trees still bare, but not for long. The drumming of the woodpeckers' beak resonates in the quiet of the forest.]
